The minimum required number for a category is 4 entrants - the category will still be run the placings will be changed accordingly.
Teams
A team is three people, one person for the mtb leg, one person for the two runs, one person for the paddle leg. The age of the youngest person will determine the category.
If you would like some assistance finding a team mate you should contact us on cvevents@canoevic.org.au Please advise your name, age, contact details and the leg you are doing and we will add you to the list and email the list of people to you so you can contact others looking for teammates.

What your entry fee includes
· Entry to the race including GST

What you need to provide
· Kayak / Surf ski, helmet & paddle for paddling legs
· Mountain Bike and shoes for MTB legs
· Running equipment for the run leg
· Drink bottle
· Personal items including food and drink
· Camping equipment if you are camping
· First Aid kit to contain 2 x stretch bandages, wound closure strips, non-adhesive wound dressings, 1 x triangular bandage and 1 x pr of surgical gloves.
Registration Process
A two step process
1. Scrutineering of equipment
2. Registration
Scrutineering will occur at the boat ramp area on Saturday between 2 pm and 5.50 pm, with last person allowed in at 5.45 . The area closes at 5.50 pm sharp, equipment not scrutineered prior to then will not be allowed in the race unless prior arrangements have been made. Expect that scrutineering without queuing will take 20 minutes. Please leave yourself enough time to get through and register prior to the Race Briefing.
Equipment to be scrutineered includes;
· PFD
· Kayak
· Bicycle
· Cycling helmet
For registration you will need to present photo ID with your birth date and a completed scrutineer form. You will be required to sign a Canoeing Victoria Event licence if you have not entered online. Registrations close at 6.00 pm on Saturday 21 November
Race briefing will be at 6.00 pm Saturday 21 November in the boat ramp area
Race Day
The race will start and finish at Camping Ground Area 2. No parking is allowed in the transition area, it is drop off only, you will need someone with you to drive the car away once you have unloaded. We would prefer participants to walk in with their gear.
This is also the transition area for the bike to run leg and finish area
You will need to find your allocated position on the bicycle racks for your bike and place your running gear there to make your transition after the cycle leg
Insurance
Australian Canoeing membership and the event licence provides you with PAI insurance for the Canoe and run leg of the race only. If you have Bicycle Victoria membership you may be covered under that for the ride leg - please check the terms of that policy.
Vehicles
We ask that in the interest of space and environmental impact that people limit the number of vehicles travelling to the event where possible and especially in Lake Eildon National Park. There is parking for extra vehicles at the Boat ramp and in Eildon.
Support Crew
During the race support crew will be able to locate themselves at Blue Gum Flat, cyclists will be coming through the flat 3 times during the race. They may also locate themselves at the boat ramp, no support vehicles will be allowed to park down the boat ramp during the race or support craft on the water.
Support crews are asked not to use the race routes during the race unless under escort for emergencies. Support crews and spectators are encouraged to park in the camping areas and line the routes. The road will be open between legs.

Support during the race
Cyclists can only accept assistance from other cyclists, or from the Berretta's Bike Hub tent at Blue Gum Flat where parts may be supplied but no other assistance, outside assistance will mean disqualification. Participants must complete the race on the same frame and wheels they started on and be using the same kayak they started in.
First Aid is available.
Race etiquette, if a paddler, cyclist or runner sees another participant in peril it is expected that they will render immediate assistance and notify race marshalls of any incidents so that they can render assistance where required.
Camping Areas
If you have requested camping you will be given your camp site number in your pre race information email. Please observe the rules and regulations for camping in a National Park including any fire restrictions, be considerate of the needs of other participants in the race camping near you. You are advised to bring your own water for drinking. Documents regarding Lake Eildon National Park and camping in National parks are available as links from the race website.
